Colossians Study |
The Letter to the Colossians is part of a trilogy of letters to the Colossians, to the Ephesians, and to Philemon. Colossians is a letter written on the occasion of addressing the inroads of certain philosophies which diminished and devalued the importance of Christ in the pursuit of maturity. The “philosophy” to which the writer speaks offers heavenly wisdom, knowledge, and a type of spirituality that will protect one from evil spirits; but it lessens the importance of Jesus the Christ in attaining these. People in Colossae are also involved in a sense of angelology that has become troublesome. Does any of this sound familiar today? If so, come and join us as we begin a new study on Sunday nights in the Letter to the Colossians.
