Several years ago a book was written titled, It Takes a Village.  The premise of the book is that an entire village/neighborhood/ town must be involved in raising children to be productive citizens.  I would agree that, while families are the primary source for raising and teaching children, the surrounding town can have a hand in training them. Yet, as I look around at our neighborhoods and our world, I am more convinced than ever that our churches have a tremendous responsibility to help raise our children to be productive and compassionate citizens beginning with becoming faithful members of the Kingdom of God. 

     We will begin a new study, “It Also Takes a Church”, on Jan. 6, at 6:00 pm.  We will look at various ways the church can aid children in faith formation which may guide them today as well as for the future. Come and join us if you think that “It Also Takes a Church”.
